1913 Type I PCGS Proof-68, $75,900
(Irvine, California) -- The beautiful and condition-rarity proof
Buffalo Nickels in the Captiva Collection helped make the Bowers and
Merena August 2005 Baltimore Auction a resounding success. The sale
realized a total of $1.8 million.

impressive $280,000.”

“Highlights of our currency offerings include an 1861 Fr. 6 $10
Demand Note graded PCGS Fine-12 that netted $3,105. Among our extensive
selection of Canadian coinage is a 1900 50 Cents that sold for $19,550,
and a beautifully toned 1903-H 50 Cents that required $21,850 from the
winning bidder. These two Half Dollars were certified by PCGS with
grades of MS-64 and MS-66, respectively.”
